hi you!

If you’re new here—welcome. I hope within the next thirty seconds, you feel like we can be friends. That we can share a conversation about life, love, and everything in between.

I’M ALEXA, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME LEX—THAT’S WHAT THE PEOPLE CLOSEST TO ME CALL ME.

You might also know me as Alexa Glazer—the name I published my first two books under—but since then, I got married! I’m now Alexa Brown (and still getting used to saying it!).

I’m Cleveland-made but adventure-grown, meaning I feel most alive outside—barefoot, chasing sunsets, watching the leaves shift with the seasons, and grounding myself in the earth. I’m a “look at the moon right now” kind of person, and I love that about myself.

I GREW UP DANCING—MOVING, STORYTELLING, EXPRESSION BEFORE I EVER HAD THE WORDS.

I didn’t realize at the time, but I was training for the work I do now: helping people find language for their experiences, their emotions, and their healing. Some things haven’t changed—I still go barefoot on stage whenever I can, and I’ll always sit cross-legged if the opportunity presents itself.

AT 21, I LOST MY DAD UNEXPECTEDLY. GRIEF CRACKED MY WORLD WIDE OPEN.

I saw how many of us move through life carrying emotional weight, feeling alone in it. And so I decided to start sharing—my words, my stories, the rawest parts of being human. That turned into my first book, Livin’ the Dream Today Because Tomorrow is Not Promised, and a movement that reminded people to live now, not later.

STILL, I WAS HUNGRY FOR MORE—MORE LIFE, MORE DEPTH, MORE SELF-UNDERSTANDING.

So I sold everything, bought a sprinter van, and hit the road. Alone. To find myself, or at least to make space for whatever I was becoming. Those miles changed me in ways I’ll never fully be able to explain.

In 2020, I did something I never thought I’d do: I moved back to Ohio. In the midst of a pandemic, home felt like the right place to be. What I thought would be temporary became an invitation to root, reflect, and redefine what home meant to me. It’s here that I wrote my second book, Your Permission Slip: To Self-Acceptance, Forgiveness, and Letting Go with Grace. A book that doesn’t tell you how to live, but rather hands you the permission to choose, to feel, to evolve.

I’m a hard Enneagram 7—which means I crave adventure, new experiences, and deep conversations.

I’m a Projector in Human Design, meaning I thrive when invited into the right spaces (which is why I love organic, heartfelt connections).

I’m an Aries Sun, Virgo Moon, Gemini Rising—which basically means I’m a passionate dreamer who loves structure but is also easily distracted by a million creative ideas at once.

I’m obsessed with reading—books that make me think, books that make me feel.

I find so much joy in small, simple pleasures—shadows cast by the afternoon sun, the way the air smells before rain, mundane errands with my husband, Nick.

The fun stuff:

I believe that healing doesn’t have to be rigid. That self-discovery can be both profound and playful. That we don’t need a roadmap—just the willingness to listen, to feel, and to trust the unfolding of our own lives.

That’s what I hope to create space for here—a space to remember, reconnect, and reclaim all that makes us human.
